If you have any questions about certain products or ingredients, ask here and one of our admins or moderators can address and verify whether or not the items are vegan.

Does anyone have information on Old Dutch chips (specifically BBQ and Dill Pickle). I didn't see anything on the list of ingrediants that seemed to contain animal products, but I am new to this and worried that some might be hiding.

I've sent them an email asking for their ingredient lists. If you can post them then I can go through it for you sooner, otherwise Ill update this post when they return my email. Edit 1: I recieved this email from Old Dutch: As it says, they both appear to be vegan. I have contacted them further to ask for a list of ingredients so I can inquire about each one, and then let you know how it goes.

Hello there
I was just wondering if the Presidents Choice Blue Menu meatless chicken breast and meatless breaded chicken strips are vegan? It says that it's made with gardein and I've heard that that company makes vegan foods. The package does say that the food is vegetarian, but it would be a bonus if it was vegan =)

The package does say that the food is vegetarian, but it would be a bonus if it was vegan =) I know that they're both vegan as I've been eating them for a while, but Ill explain anyways. I could only find the ingredients for the strips. If you eliminate all the things with wheat, soy, etc in the name and vitamins you get natural flavour - would be either meat or vegetable based, presumably vegetable based seeing as it's labelled vegetarian. modified cellulose - plant fibre calcium silicate - derived from limestone yum dextrose - sugar. presidents choice uses vegan sugar. guar gum - from guar beans caramel colour - derived from corn. mono-and diglycerides - frequently plant based but possibly animal based, I emailed them to ask just now so ill update when I get a reply.

is vegetarian broth vegan? i know it says vegetarian S: Depending on the ingredients it may be. Mono and Di-Glycerides are possibly made from animal sources, and any vitamins have the off chance. You'd have to post a specific ingredient list

Today I had a vegan choclate bar named Twlight. It was alright, at first it tasted like one of those power bars weightlifters eat. After a while I got use to the taste. I would say it is good but not worth $2.25. ANYWAY. I was reading the package and it say that the chocolate bars are made in factories that deal with milk, nuts and wheat and eggs so there may be traces of them in the food. Doesn't it defeat the purpose of being vegan if it is possible that non vegan items can be in the bar?
Anyway. I doubt I will be eatting the food again. It was just too powdery for me and again, $2.25 was not worth it.
