So at our Thursday November 24th gathering we talked about SWAG and will use this forum as a place for more people to get directly involved in the process.
SWAG is basically free materials we get as a club from YFS. Last year we had two sets of buttons, two sets of shirts, grocery bags and lanyards. Later I'll post images of the ones we already have and still have to give out to our members.
This year we decided we'd get one set of shirts (around 30) and stainless steel water bottles (around 100). We have a limit and that just about hits it. We picked these items as they are environmentally friendly (everything is fair trade) and match our club's ideals.
The shirts are one base colour, one text colour, and one colour for rings around the sleeves and neck.
The base/ring colours available are: black/slate brown/black navy/black navy/brown navy/slate slate/black slate/navy
and we can use any text colours. Post any colour combinations you like or suggestions for what we should put on them. The text area is 10x12 inches I believe.
The water bottles are 18oz and can have a one colour text/image area of around 3 inches. Post any suggestions you have for these.
The orders are due at the end of January so by planning early hopefully we'll be able to get the input of multiple members.

The area for the tshirt is 10x12 proportions and the waterbottle is 3x3.75. Since the measurements are proportions not inches and will be scaled to fit, when we make the design it will have to be in a high dpi .ai format.

I do like the black/slate combination.
Just a quick question - will the design/text be the same on both the shirt and waterbottle? Or are we able to select two different designs?

The designs can be different. =) I would personally prefer them to be.
We discussed having the shirt say something informative but not too aggressive about veganism, like a neat fact people would probably not know. We're open to suggestions in that format, or ideas that aren't like that.

I like black/slate as well. I think an interesting fact is a great idea. Something that is easily accepted by the majority of people, and as Eric said, not too aggressive. Maybe a cute picture of an animal if it fits Do you have someone who does the designs? I have a few very artistic friends that might be willing to design it for free if we don't already have someone.
