So we're making a flag for our club. The basic design is set, it is just a matter of specifics - with regards to the fabric and the method of detailing it. The design can be found in the .png attached. Essentially, it is a square piece of light-weight cotton fabric attached on two opposite sides to equal-length wooden dowels. Each dowel has a string on it so that it can be hung or fastened to a vertical pole. The question at hand is what fabric to use, and how to write the letters on? And of course what it will say... The ideas I had for lettering are...
1) Stencils/paint. 2) Iron-on printed decals (like from a laserjet printer). 3) Iron-on fabric letters from a craft store. 4) Sewn on hand cut letters/sewn on craft store letters.
Overall the two options are whether we detail right onto the flag, or whether we shape details off the flag and then attach them. I will most likely make the flag before worrying about this though.

Which means the first thing to do is to get the basic materials.
2x dowels 8x screws 1x fabric.
The fabric needs to be hemmed on 4 sides, then wrapped around the dowels tightly and screwed in place. Then two screws go on either side of each dowel for string to be attached.
What fabric colour?
