I haven't watched all of Food, Inc. myself so if any of this information is wrong or you have something to add I'd really appreciate it. I do plan to watch it over winter break so might update this afterwards.
Food, Inc. is a documentary that looks at corporate farming, health, the environment, animals, and employees in the United States. While it's not about Canada, I always find information about the US to be really important because Canada is always trying to move in the direction of the US economically and we often try to emulate their consumer culture. This could easily happen here and many parts of it already probably do.
I believe you can find the documentary online for free and I know the club Students for the Protection of Animals showed it several times at York last year (while serving pizza though...). We don't show it as a club because it's notoriously called the 'disney version' of Earthlings and barely even begins to talk about animal rights, welfare or even treatment in the way Earthlings does (which we do show instead).
I'd recommend it for additional information about veganism because it shows important information about the power of multinational corporations, but it's a supplementary film and shouldn't be seen as a complete argument for veganism.

I have seen the movie and has a lot information. A good starter movie for those who are showing interest on the subject of our environments or how food gets onto our table.
As Ellen says, it's a Disney movie compared to Earthlings.
